Christmas Traditions
What is your favorite Christmas tradition? Mine takes place on Christmas Eve when I go to church. There, we sing carols and have a small service. It is very interesting. After we get back, we have fun and open presents then stay up late. The next morning, we eat a very nice breakfast and open the rest of our presents. We then finish the day celebrated Christmas and having fun.
Natural Myth
Have you ever heard of myths about natural occurrence? Sometimes, they can be interesting like "a gust of wind is simply God blowing his nose or sneezing. That's why wind-storms only happen when God has a cold." Well, I think that is outrageous but interesting just the same. One that I came up with explains why tornado happen. It is caused by Indian gods when they do their pow-wows around a certain area. They are so fast and large that it causes the dust to stir and spin around. They go so fast that a tornado just appears out of nowhere!

Time Waster
When I'm wasting time, I do a lot of things. I either play a pointless game or I sometimes even walk around doing nothing. A lot of times, when I'm kind of just waiting for something, I throw a random little ball around my room. I bounce it on the floor or walls and try to make it into a laundry basket. If something just happens to catch my eye, I usually mess with that to waste time. I never try to waste long periods of time, but sometimes I get bored. I really think wasting time is stupid unless you just need to sit down and rest. Rather find something to do instead of wasting time you cant get back.

Backpacks in the Hallway Argument
Do you think we should be able to keep our backpacks in the hallway here at Fairfield? Well, first I think I will start with the pros of this argument. A good reason not to keep backpacks in the hall is so people's belongings do not get stolen. Also, we do not want people tripping over them all the time. For now, they are about the only reasons of this rule besides making the hall look nicer. There are also some disagreements that I have with this rule. First, I think it makes it easier for students to just put it under a locker if they are in a hurry or something. I also like the idea of not having to go to your cubbies every time to get your stuff.

The Smell of a Skunk
You know what I hate? When people without smelling abilities ask you how a skunk smells. Well, I can't rightly say because I don't sit there and try to sniff skunk smells because it smells like junk! How can I describe it when it smells terrible? I mean it has some disgusting contents so it makes it stick in your mouth or something. It's also really stale. Why would I even go close enough to describe it? I mean, it is terrible! Next time someone asks me about it, I will tell them what I told you. I won't describe it....

Totally Obvious Signs...
You know those really stupid signs that are super obvious, like 'warning, fire is hot?' Well, those can really get on your nerves or they are just funny. Another good one is 'don't touch knife blade, may be sharp.' Seriously! That's kind of obvious. One sign that annoys me is one of the signs next to a coffee machine. 'Be careful, coffee is hot.' Yeah, like we didn't know that already! Another really stupid sign can be at a library or something. 'Warning, books may influence you.' I wonder who came up with that one?! Well, we all know that these signs are outrageous. 'Warning, signs may be stupid.'
If I Were a Dog, What Advice Would I Give my Classmates
Have you ever thought about what you say if you were a dog? Well, I think I would tell my classmates about that one whoofy ruff ruffy type thing. After that, I think I would talk about the nice whoof whoof. I don't think my language would register to them and they would probably just start kicking me or yelling at me. But of course I would keep telling them that they couldn't forget about the whoof whoof ruff and the howeryyyy animals. If they still kept kicking me or yelling at me, I would run away and keep talking about ruff ruffy. By this time they would get really irritated by my noise. They would try to shut me up somehow, but my advice would be too important to shut up. Whoof whoof ruff ruff I would say. Eventually, they would just leave. I really hope they got my advice...

How to Sleep In but still get to School on Time
To be able to sleep in on school days is a rare convenience. It is only possibly if you are within about a block of the school. First, you must set your alarm for 8:00. Be sure to prepare all of your schoolwork the night before. If you need showers, then do it the night before. As soon as you get up, run to the kitchen to grab some food. Eat it fast then quickly then brush your teeth. Grab your prepared backpack and run out the door. Be sure to get to school at least 5 minutes early (there is no need to risk being tardy). Of course, there are many variations depending on your distance from the school. Sleeping in can be very handy sometimes.

Comparing colors
My favorite color is red. The color that I dislike the most is brown. Red is a color that you don't see in nature very often. Brown is everywhere and it isn't colorful. It is very bland because it doesn't have many different shades. It is only sort of cool when mixed with other colors. Red on the other hand, has many different shades and when it is mixed with other colors, it can be very cool. It is also a rare color in nature. When you see red in the sky, you can't deny that it looks cool. When you see brown in the sky, you know something's wrong. That's why I like red and I dislike brown.

My Favorite Season
There are four seasons, summer, autumn, winter, and spring. The best (in my opinion) is definitely spring. It is warm, but not too hot. The countryside is green, not dull and brown. Off in the distance, the Rocky mountains are blueish looking with the peaks covered with remaining snow. I don't like summer because its too hot and the countryside is dull looking. Winter is too cold although its my second favorite season. Autumn is my least favorite season because its cold, wet, and windy. Spring is also the best season to be having air-soft wars, too (one of my favorite outdoor activities). For all of these reasons, I like spring the best. What's your favorite season?

My Favorite Experience This Summer
This summer, I had a fun time. In mid-summer, I went on vacation with my family. First, I went to Washington to our family reunion. We spent three days there kayaking, swimming, eating, and just having fun. After finally leaving, we went to Seattle to stay with my aunt, uncle, and cousin. We had a good time there, too. Our two days were spent with talking, playing ping-pong and basket-ball, and eating out. Finally, we headed back east into Montana and went to Hamilton for a backpacking trip with a church. It was a very fun time with lots of adventures in the high mountains. After three days, we finally came back down and drove back to Fairfield. This was the most fun-filled and adventurous trip of the summer.

Superstitions
In the human race, people have come up with certain superstitions. A most common one is "don't walk under a ladder". It basically says don't walk under a ladder because it will bring bad luck. The reason it started is because a ladder represented the trinity of God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). Breaking this triangle would be evil. In early Christian times, performing such an act would label you as a witch, which is why it would extremely dangerous. If you are breaking the trinity, you would be a "follower of Satan", which of course does not bode well. Another theory for bad luck has to do with the the three points of the ladder. The top point connects with the building, the building intersects with the road forms one corner and the bottom of the ladder makes the third corner. Throughout history the number three has represented masculine or the animus. Do you think it brings bad luck? Well, you can always find out by trying.
